24 Now Thomas, one of the Twelve, was not with the disciples when Jesus came. 25 So the other disciples told him, “We have seen the Lord!” But he said to them, “Unless I see the nail marks in his hands and put my finger where the nails were, and put my hand into his side, I will not believe.” 26 A week later his disciples were in the house again, and Thomas was with them. Though the doors were locked, Jesus came and stood among them and said, “Peace be with you!” 27 Then he said to Thomas, “Put your finger here; see my hands. Reach out your hand and put it into my side. Stop doubting and believe.” 28 Thomas said to him, “My Lord and my God!” 29 Then Jesus told him, “Because you have seen me, you have believed; blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed.” John 20:21-29
Jesus answered, “You say that I am a king. In fact, the reason I was born and came into the world is to testify to the truth. Everyone on the side of truth listens to me. John 18:37
“I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die; 26 and whoever lives by believing in me will never die. Do you believe this?” John 11:25-26
I have come into this world, so that the blind will see and those who see will become blind. John 9:39
A time is coming when you will worship the Father neither on this mountain nor in Jerusalem. 22 You Samaritans worship what you do not know; we worship what we do know, for salvation is from the Jews. 23 Yet a time is coming and has now come when the true worshipers will worship the Father in the Spirit and in truth, for they are the kind of worshipers the Father seeks. 24 God is spirit, and his worshipers must worship in the Spirit and in truth. John 4:21-24
On March 14, Governor Cooper issued Executive Order 117 in response to the coronavirus, prohibiting any event or convening that brings together more than 100 persons in a single room or single space at the same time, such as an auditorium, stadium, arena, large conference room, meeting hall, theater, or any other confined indoor or outdoor space. Out of respect and caution, FBCFO cancelled in-person worship and held the service by facebook livestream. We had forty-four worshipers attend on facebook live from their homes, from Wakemed, from the beach, and as far as Maryland. In comments, watchers asked for prayer requests for people confined under strict visiting rules in nursing homes, our leaders, our health, and our nation. We encourage you to reach out to your deacons and church staff with any needs.
13 I have much to say to you, but I do not want to do so with pen and ink. 14 I hope to see you soon, and we will talk face to face. 3 John 13-14.
