March 15: Where are you?

A time is coming when you will worship the Father neither on this mountain nor in Jerusalem. 22 You Samaritans worship what you do not know; we worship what we do know, for salvation is from the Jews. 23 Yet a time is coming and has now come when the true worshipers will worship the Father in the Spirit and in truth, for they are the kind of worshipers the Father seeks. 24 God is spirit, and his worshipers must worship in the Spirit and in truth. On March 14, Governor Cooper issued Executive Order 117 in response to the coronavirus, prohibiting any event or convening that brings together more than 100 persons in a single room or single space at the same time, such as an auditorium, stadium, arena, large conference room, meeting hall, theater, or any other confined indoor or outdoor space. Out of respect and caution, FBCFO cancelled in-person worship and held the service by facebook livestream.  We had forty-four worshipers attend on facebook live from their homes, from Wakemed, from the beach, and as far as Maryland. In comments, watchers asked for prayer requests for people confined under strict visiting rules in nursing homes, our leaders, our health, and our nation. We encourage you to reach out to your deacons and church staff with any needs.
