Hurricane Florence made landfall early Friday, September 14th. Several members of the congregation have been in contact with friends, pastors, and sister churches out east. Many are in need of immediate assistance due to flooding, loss of power, and impassible roads. The church office compiled and sent out lists of needs in the following week. Volunteer organizers used the fellowship hall as a staging area for donated supplies. Melanie Autry, Phyllis Toothman, Jami Champagne, and Pat Bridgers transported supplies to Wallace Rose Hill High, Make a Difference Food Pantry in Mount Olive, and Northeast PFWB Church. Requests for assistance and support continue to come in. Walter Holt is in Wilmington assessing the situation for the Baptist Men. Comments are closed.
