WMU Sunday: Rev. Kristen Muse

2/24/2019

The WMU honored Arnette Johnson and Margie Moore, two of our great ladies who left us this year. Allie McLamb provided the special music. Rev Kristen Muse of Hayes Barton Baptist Church in Raleigh delivered the message. Lunch was served afterward. Thanks to all for supporting our Woman's Missionary Union.

Therefore, my dear brothers and sisters, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain. 1 Cor 15:58

The resurrection should make a difference in this life, not just the after life. Because of the resurrection, what should you do? You should be steadfast. Be strong. To be strong, it's important to know what you believe, to return to the source of what you believe. You can't stand firm in something you've never experienced. In this life, hard times will come. Things don't become easy just because we follow God. But if we are firmly planted, we can continue to stand firm. We must be immovable. Not rigid or inflexible, but firmly planted, so that when the storm sways us, our roots keep us standing. Rev. Kristen Muse, February 24, 2019
