Family we lost in 2020: Lessie Mae Vinson

Mrs. Lessie Mae Vinson, age 99, of 511 N. Baker Street, passed away on Friday, November 6, 2020 at her residence. Rev. John Norman officiated her graveside service on Tuesday, November 10, 2020 at Four Oaks City Cemetery. She was born on September 6, 1921 in Johnston County to the late Ausie Daniel "Habie" and Lessie Mitchell Childers. She was preceded in death by her husband, Kermit Vinson; a son, Larry Alford; a grandson, Chris Alford; sister, Grace Wall; brothers, Paul Childers, Frank Childers, Ralph Childers, Homer Childers. Mrs. Vinson retired from Four Oaks Elementary School cafeteria after many years of dedicated service. Surviving include her son, Dwight Vinson and fiancé, Patricia Trujillo of Fayetteville; grandchildren, Gina Smith and husband, Dallen of Utah, Patrick Vinson and wife, Andrea of Indiana, Lorie Norris and husband, Rodney of Four Oaks, June Blue of Carthage.
